Granite is the material chosen when permanence,
beauty, and complete freedom from deterioration
and maintenance are prime requirements.
It is the most durable among the natural
stones.
Regardless of its use, kitchen countertops,
fire places, or bars, granite will add a
sophisticated and luxurious appearance to
any house. You can find granite that will
satisfy any taste, they are available in
many colors, and also come in a wide variety
of veins, swirls, and crystal patterns.
And keep in mind that unlike dyed synthetic
products, granite will be colored through-and-through.
An added advantage of granite is that oftentimes
the sunlight will dance off the small crystals
contained in it; resulting in minute-to-minute
changes in appearance throughout the day,
thus adding to the overall richness and
the ambiance in your home.
Bellow we’ve outlined the basic steps
of our granite work process flow:
As soon as you receive the Job Confirmation,
The Granite Countertop Project goes through
the productions steps of templating, fabrication,
tear-out, and installation.
TEMPLATING
On the day of templating, we advise our
clients to have their countertops clear
and free of any objects. This will help
our work process to be efficient while at
the same time your items will be protected
from any dust or damage. Templates usually
take a couple of hours.
- Sinks/cooktops/faucets are checked
for fit and compatibility which means
all such units must be on site during
this phase.
- Cabinets are checked in order to
determine if they need to be adjusted
- Cabinetry refinements will be discussed
prior to countertop installation.
- Seam replacement will be discussed
as well.
FABRICATION
Before the fabrication phase begins, we
ask you to confirm the slabs. We are also
going to ask for your final approval of
the Post Template Checklist. If at this
time, you decide to change the drawings
and/or granite type, we will adjust the
price up or down accordingly and we will
let you know right away.
TEAR OUT
If your project requires tear-out and removal
of existing countertops we will do so at
the time of installation. Since we will
disconnect your plumbing during this phase,
please make sure you do not use the dishwasher
until your plumbing is reconnected back.
